Philza, also known as Philza Minecraft, Phil, or the Crow Father, joined the Origins SMP during Season 1 with the Elytrian origin.
Origin[]
Phil selected the Elytrian origin. With this origin, he is naturally equipped with elytra wings and can boost himself into the air every 30 seconds (a feature Phil calls his "panic button"). While he is flying, he also deals more damage. However, he gains weakness for an extended period of time if ceilings are too low and takes more kinetic damage from falling and flying into objects. Phil is also restricted to armor with the same protection as chainmail or below.
Appearance[]
Phil has blue eyes, blonde hair, black feathers on the side of his face, and feathered arms. He wears a black tuxedo with a gold chain over a white shirt, gray pants, and black boots. He also wears a black and white striped bucket hat.

Season 2[]
Phil exhibited many bird-like features. He was unable to see through glass,[3] hoarded shiny objects (such as ores), often assisted people and trusted them readily, and often gave out food to other players, such as Wilbur and Tommy. His giving personality led to Wilbur calling him a "mama bird" and later gave rise to the phrase "crumbs from the Crow Father."
Season 3[]
Phil states that he is the ruler of the server; he claims that without a ruler, the server members are incapable and cause conflict. As a result, he believes that the world rightfully belong to him and that members should bring offerings to him.
Despite his quest for control over the server, Phil attempts to win everyone's trust by giving them materials they need. He considers his actions righteous and justified, but he also hints that he is not opposed to violence should people not listen. His beliefs are in conflict with Ninjology, which he views as a dangerous cult.
Additionally, he hoards shiny objects, such as valuable ores, and is afraid of phantoms. Rather than facing them, he runs and hides, sometimes even begging the sun to rise faster. Currently, this fear has not impacted his relationships with the two Phantoms, Wilbur Soot and Shubble ("Shelby").
History[]
Season 1[]
During Season 1, Phil interacted with many members and built the server's community spaces. When he first joined, he planned to live with TommyInnit and built a Birdhouse that accommodated Tommy's need to sleep at a high elevation; while Tommy decided to live with Jack Manifold instead, Phil continued to use his Birdhouse.
Housewarming party[]

On February 11, the first day, Phil established himself as a reliable figure by consistently providing food to other members. Upon Wilbur's request, he also built Wilbur's haunted manor, in which Wilbur's housewarming party took place.
During the housewarming party, Phil finished decorating the house and willingly sampled all of Fragrance Man's scents except for sand and glass. After refusing to smell them, Fragrance Man took him outside and commanded him to smell the blocks, and Phil obeyed.[4]
The Pube[]
On March 29, Wilbur recruited Phil to work on a community space, a pub named The Pube. Phil was initially tasked with building a Tudor-style inn on a floating island. However, none of the other members Wilbur commissioned worked on The Pube, leaving Phil to build it and ensure that it was accessible to all members. In the end, Phil built an accessible, three-floor inn that served as a gathering area; it had high ceilings, a tank for Niki, a Nether-themed patio with lava pools for Jack, and an underground enchanting table. A pub reopening celebrating this renovation was hosted on April 14.
Conflict with Tommy[]
While working on The Pube, Phil explored a jungle and spent several hours bringing three parrots to his Birdhouse. Tommy also built a work palace as a temporary home and invited Phil to look at it. However, when Phil arrived, he mocked it and called it "nothing." Angry, Tommy killed two of Phil's pet parrots. Phil then hunted Tommy down, killed him in the fish tank in Wilbur's house, and promptly blew up the Work Palace with a creeper. Tommy agreed that they were even, and even though his apology present (consisting of sticks, saplings, and iron ingots) spelled out an "L," the two agreed on a truce.
Innit Incorporated[]

On April 16, 2021, Tommy and Ranboo approached Phil with an offer to become a superhero for Innit Incorporated's Superhero Program. Although they argued over what percent of the profit Phil would receive, Phil eventually signed the contract and adopted the hero name "Crow Father, Champion of Mortlake."[5] Wilbur also created an insignia for Crow Father, a black feather.
Crow Father then stopped Charlie Slimecicle from robbing Tommy. Wilbur built a jail, The Crow's Nest, and Charlie was imprisoned. However, Charlie broke a block, leading to a chain reaction where the prison walls disintegrated into silverfish. After the incident, Phil planned to build another Crow Father base elsewhere.
Season 2[]
During Season 2, Phil planned to build a base atop a snowy mountain near The Pube and often helped other members gather resources and build infrastructure. For example, he saved Jack from the Nether, helped Ranboo link Nether portals, and created access to the Nether roof. He was also the first member to cure a zombie villager.
Tommy's Elytrian Training[]
A few days later, Wilbur told Phil and Tommy that Tommy's Avian origin might not be an independent origin, but a less-advanced version of Phil's Elytrian origin. Wilbur called Tommy a "baby Elytrian" and suggested that after a few training sessions, Tommy could become an Elytrian.
During training, however, Tommy did not progress as quickly as expected. Due to this, Phil attempted to create a levitation potion, but realized that these potions were only obtainable in Creative mode. He still attempted to help Tommy by renaming the potion "Potion of Levitation", but Tommy failed to fly.
Season 3[]

At the end of Season 2, Phil self-immolated, promising that he would be reborn like a phoenix into Season 3. When he first joined Season 3, he joined while on fire.
Phil immediately claimed that he was the ruler of the server and that everything belonged to him, but that the other members didn't know yet. While exploring villages, he called village chest loot and villager trades "offerings." Later, he decided to acquire everyone's loyalty by giving them presents and helping where he could. For example, he helped James Marriott construct the Jimmy Jugs Library. When Ninjology grew in popularity after Ninja's death, Phil also allied with Sneegsnag against it; they started by working together to get desirable villager trades, such as enchanted books.
As he continued giving everyone presents, Phil began asking for their future loyalty in exchange by telling them to "make the right choice in the near future." Several members, such as Wilbur and Scott Smajor, found this behavior odd, but did not question him further or take action. Phil also acquired a trident and discovered a chain of mushroom islands.[6] He is currently secretly constructing a blackstone castle on one of the islands, where he plans to receive offerings from the other members of the server.
